Terms of Service

Agreement

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are using Weboniser on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to agree on its behalf.

What we provide

Weboniser lets you build websites and publish them at a Weboniser address, or at your own domain on paid plans. We provide the service as it exists today. We will keep improving it, and we may change or remove individual features — but we will not remove something you are paying for without telling you first and offering a refund of the unused portion.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. One person or organisation per account; do not share credentials to get around plan limits.

Your content

You own what you make. We claim no ownership of your text, images, or designs. You grant us only the licence we need to operate the service: to store your content, and to display it publicly when you choose to publish it.

You are responsible for having the right to use everything you upload, and for the content being lawful where your visitors are.

What you may not do

• Publish anything illegal, or anything that sexualises or endangers children.
• Run phishing pages, malware distribution, or sites impersonating another person or business.
• Send spam, or use a published site to harass, threaten, or defame someone.
• Attack the service — scraping at a volume that degrades it, probing for vulnerabilities without permission, or attempting to access another user’s data.
• Resell Weboniser itself as though it were your own product.

Building client websites and charging your clients for them is explicitly allowed and is what the Business plan is for.

Plans and billing

The Free plan is free and requires no card. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, in US dollars, and renew automatically until cancelled.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Your paid features run to the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. We do not charge a cancellation fee and we do not require you to email anyone to be allowed to leave.

Refunds. If the service did not work as described, email us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it. Beyond that we handle refunds case by case, and we would rather be generous than argue.

Price changes. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price increase affecting you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Going over a limit. If you exceed your plan’s site limit we will ask you to upgrade. We will not silently charge you for the overage.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove a site that breaks the rules above. Where the situation allows it we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it; for serious cases — illegal content, active phishing, an attack on the service — we will act immediately. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us.

Availability

We aim for the service and your published sites to be available at all times, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee. Maintenance, upstream provider outages and bugs happen. We will work to restore service promptly when they do.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups but we do not guarantee them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date at the top and notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Weboniser after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.
